Happy Thursday! I woke up early this morning to have coffee with the Marketing Director for Roti. We talked about the Ambassador contest, the food and the company as a whole. What a fun day! Today marks the first official day of the Roti Ambassador Contest! It is a competition between each local Ambassador for a chance to win free food for a year and a free lunch for the community to benefit each Ambassador's charity of choice.  I am the Ambassador for the F Street store in DC. If I win, my lunch proceeds will go to the American Diabetes Association.

Colleen and I went over to the store at lunch to see what the poster looked like (I was told it would be hanging in the store). Well, we got there only to find the poster hanging in the window, facing the street. There were fliers, table decorations and more! They were even in color!

I did receive my 50 free meal cards... so the first ten followers to tweet about this will receive free Roti meal cards! @sarainthecity

march day twenty eight: roti

Today I found out that I am now an Ambassador for Roti! I am so excited!

I received the email this afternoon and have not stopped talking about it. I still have not received all of the details, but I do know that I have already won free food for a month, 50 free food passes for my friends, a hoodie from American Apparel, the opportunity to meet with the manager this summer to create a special Menu item to benefit my charity, cooking classes and more! I had no idea how great it would be! I am so glad I submitted an application.

The next step I have to take is sending them a photo for the National Ambassador competition. The photo I submit will then be turned into a poster which will hang in my local Roti. There will be a QR code on there for customers to scan in order to vote for me to win the national competition. How exciting! Once the link is up for people to vote, I will be sure to post it on here. If I win the national competition, I win free food for a year and a day to host an event where all of the money will benfit the American Diabetes Association-- my charity of choice.

I am so, so excited for this opportunity and I can't wait to share this journey with everyone!

feb day sixteen: something new

As I mentioned earlier this week, I bought a couple of new bracelets. I was hoping to go buy a few more at lunch today but ended up at Roti with Colleen and Pouy. Lunch was a much better idea.
This is a picture of one of the bracelets I purchased on Monday. It makes me think of Summer... just a few more months!
