A ton has happened in the last week. Let's see, first of all, mom came to town last Tuesday!! She landed and then we went to BIG BUNS. Mmmm. So delish. Then we came home and watched Parenthood (best show ever!). On Wednesday, we went on a VIP tour of all the monuments in DC.
On Thursday, we went to Tyson's and the Leesburg outlets. I got the CUTEST Vera Bradley things and new Coach bag. Um, happiest girl ever. On Friday, we went to Great Falls to see the waterfalls. So pretty. (pics later). We also found out on Friday that Brad was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Scariest day ever. We went to Barnes and Noble and got some books on it and tried to learn all we could as quickly as possible. I talked to Brad's family and friends and filled them in on the update. Saturday, Brad was transferred to another hospital in Afghanistan. He was on an IV for 24 hours a day. Mom and I went to the gym and then ran a few errands around town-- even lunch at Costco! YAY! Sunday, Brad was transferred to a hospital in Germany where he had unlimited internet access and access to a phone. Finally, we can talk all the time! YAY! He was doing a little better so they took him off non-stop IV's. We started making plans for him to come back to America. Mom and I were bums in the morning, went to Eastern Market, went to the bookstore and then went to a "members only" event at VS that night. Super fun! On Monday, Brad was in about the same condition and found out he would not be coming home on Tuesday. Major bummer. Mom and I took that opportunity to go to the grocery store and get him lots of snacks for when he made it home. Then, we went to lunch with Regan (love her!) and stayed inside because of the snow. Boo. We ended up eating popcorn and coke for dinner and watching the Bachelor and the Bill Clinton special. We are super cool. Be jeal. Today, mom and I went to the gym and found out BRAD IS COMING HOME TOMORROW. I am seriously so excited I can't handle it. I am picking him up at 3:30 tomorrow afternoon. Ahhh!! YAY!! I get to see my bf! He is going to stay here until we figure out the housing sitch. He is either going to move back into his old place or we are going to try to find a cool place together. We shall see. I am so excited to see him and help him get through this tough time. I took mom to the airport this afternoon and then met Tammie and Kristin (who is going to google my blog tomorrow--ha!) for hh. Yay for a perfect day. Sad to see madre leave, but excited for what is to come.
I can't wait for Parenthood tonight and boyfriend tomorrow.
PS. I have the best mom in the world.
you guys are soooo cute. poor brad...but happy he is home!
