A Big Decision

So, this post is something I've been struggling with for months... like, a lot of months, and I think it is finally time to publicly announce that I am going to take a break from blogging. I am still on the fence about whether this is going to be a permanent break or not, but right now, there are many other things in my life that are taking my time that I am choosing to focus on.

At this point in my life, I have other priorities and I hate doing things that I cannot give my full attention to so something must be eliminated to make time for everything else.  After weighing my options, blogging is what is going to take the hit. I didn't realize how time consuming this little blog was until I took on this job that involves so much travel. There is a lot of planning and organization that this blog needs and at this moment, it is a lot more work than the benefits I receive. 

I have talked with many people about this decision and I know in my heart it is the right one. I want to be able to focus 100% on my job, continue with my volunteer efforts and maintain some sort of a social life as I play out my last few years in my twenties. I don't want to feel obligated to document my life when this all started out as something I truly enjoyed.

I have learned a lot over the past few years with this blog and made some great friends while doing so. I would not change anything I have done but I am happy to say that I am anxiously looking forward to having my nights back and not having to schedule so many posts on my various social media accounts. 

I know this may come as a surprise to some of you, but please know that I have weighed this over in my head since before moving back to Nevada. I hope that you will continue to follow along with my adventures on Twitter and Instagram and know that I look forward to seeing what the next chapter in my life will bring.

So, this is goodbye... for now. And who knows? Maybe this break will inspire something fabulous and new and I'll be back for round two. But, for now, let's focus on what this blog has become and how fun it has been to grow this from what started as: a New Year's resolution.
