Trying to define DC style can be impossible at times. DC is commonly known for lots of black (think suits, umbrellas, dress pants) and is also known for terribly-dressed tourists. I'm lookin' at you, Mr. Fanny Pack. Anywho, one of the things I do love about DC's unique style is that many people don't know what a thriving fashion scene we have here. I put together one of my favorite fall looks above: tribal sweater, faux leather leggings, a fun hat, etc., but I really want to mention some of the great fashion resources available to us here in the DC metro area.
And if I miss something, pleaaaase let me know in the comments.

The women of DC have IMPECCABLE style! I love that it is a bit varied, never predictable xo
ReplyDeleteYes! I love that about DC!
DeleteI think people see so many tourists in DC and make the assumption that is how everyone dresses. I certainly wear comfortable shoes and probably don't look my best when I'm museum hopping on the weekends!

Comfortable shoes are a must in this city! I am willing to bet you don't rock the jean shorts and tube socks on your way to the American History museum though! Have a great weekend, Heidi!
DeleteLove this look and that you strayed away from the "suit" look for your post.
