Black Friday

While Black Friday is still a week away, I have to admit, I am already planning out my day. Black Friday is my favorite holiday of the year. Sorry, Thanksgiving. I mean, a "holiday" dedicated to shopping and scoring great deals? What could be better?

This year my Black Friday may be different than years past and I plan to do most of my shopping online. Helloooo Cyber Monday. Not to mention my birthday falls on Cyber Monday this year. Man, the shopping gods are really on my side lately.

Here is a look at a few gift ideas I am hoping to score this holiday season:

For the picky men in your life, you can never go wrong with a nice new wallet or a hat representing their favorite sports team. Last year, I bought my dad this Coach wallet and it was a big hit. I highly recommend nice leather goods for dads.

For your best friend, mom, aunt or other fab lady in your life, I picked out some of my very favorite things: Ashley Brooke Designs mugs are always on my must-buy list as well as my favorite Zara scarf, nail polish and sparkly ILY Couture earrings. Also, for those more into apparel, those Ugg slippers are so hard to take off. I bought a pair years ago and still have them to this day.

And for your tech friends, why not give a gift you know they will love-- an iPhone charger or a new camera lens. Something you surely can't go wrong with. Oh, and if all else fails, the social media flats above are bound to be a hit with all.

Phillip Lim for Target: What I Bought

Last week I posted pieces from the Phillip Lim Collection for Target. I had been waiting for the release for weeks and planned out my morning to make sure I got what I was looking for. My mom and I woke up early and put our coffee in to-go mugs and made our way to Target at about 7:30am. The store opened at 8 but I had a feeling there would be a line... and I was right.

We got to target around 7:45 and saw there was a line of about 10 people at each entrance. We quickly parked the car and ran to get in line. Everyone was talking about what they wanted and it was clear that everyone was in line for a handbag.

The store opened at exactly 8:00am and by 8:03 every bag in the store was gone. Luckily, we knew just where to go when the doors opened. I guess all of our Black Friday shopping had paid off. We ended up finding three bags we loved and a skirt that I knew was perfect. The store we went to did not have the dress I was eyeing but this skirt is a great fill-in item. I cannot wait to wear it.

We then wandered around the store for about 45 minutes filling our cart with more Target goodies. Man, I love Target.

Here are some photos of our finds:

Did you score anything on Sunday?

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Before the rush of Black Friday sales begins, I wanted to post some of the pieces I am hoping to wear this holiday season. With my birthday, holiday parties and Christmas quickly approaching, I want to be sure I have just the right pieces in my closet for each of the upcoming events.
Here are some of the pieces I am eyeing:

I hope you have a fabulous day enjoying turkey with your family!
