It seems like everywhere I look these days I spot a pair of mirrored sunglasses. I actually hated them at first but they have really grown on me over the past few months. Because of my new found love for them, I finally broke down and bought a pair. While I still am not sure if they will replace my beloved Ray-Bans, I am pretty excited about wearing them to Tahoe this weekend with a bathing suit and a tan. Plus, these shades have great protection in them and everything seems dark and blueish-purple. PERFECT for the beach.

I got really lucky yesterday when taking these outfit photos as it was much warmer in the morning than when I left work for the day. Somehow the temperatures dropped about 20 degrees throughout the day and when I left work, it was freezing. Literally. I ran home from work as fast as possible though to really bundle up and head back out for a movie date with my roomie. I was lucky enough to score some tickets to the screening of Delivery Man from Birchbox last week and had a blast sharing some popcorn and laughs with my roommate. It's been awhile (ahem, a week) since we had a roomie date but it was just what I needed at the end of a long, cold day.

A couple of weeks ago I was wandering around Target and saw their display of La Mer Collections watches. I carried a coral one around the store for about 30 minutes until I decided that I would probably wear a more basic color more often than coral. I came home and immediately started googling them and looking the La Mer website up and down. I went back and forth on colors until finally settling on black. The black and gold combo is a great addition to all of my black and gold mixed jewelry and I knew this watch would be getting a lot of wear. 

My first watch arrived in the mail last week and was sadly damaged during shipping. I had to return it and wait another week to wrap this baby around my wrist. I was so excited to finally debut this watch that I chose to pair it with a top that I knew would highlight the black wrap on my wrist.
