Crazy Week

Top: Old Navy  Jacket: Levi's  Skirt: J.Crew Factory similar here  Sunglasses: Ray-Ban  Bag: Phillip Lim for Target mini version here Watch: Michael Kors  Bracelets: Stella and Dot here and here  Shoes: I.N.C. Glasses: c/o Glasses USA

Last week was a pretty crazy week with the government shutdown and presentations at work. I woke up each morning to getting dressed in the dark while Brad slept in (due to being furloughed). It was a little bit of a struggle getting reading the dark but I managed pretty well. Now that all of that is behind me, I am spending the week in Montana for a work trip. I am so excited to leave my heels behind and spend some time seeing the beautiful sights. We actually flew into Montana on Monday and are flying back to DC late tomorrow.

I wanted to make sure I posted this outfit because I think that pairing the flats and denim jacket with my sequin top is a great way to wear sequins to work. Typically I think that sequins are a bit too flashy for the workplace, but if you pair them with just the right pieces, they can totally be less dramatic and perfect for a crazy day in the office.

Summer Maxi

Top: H&M  Jacket: Levi's  Skirt: Bobeau  Bag: Kate Spade  Shoes: Jessica Simpson  Watch: Michael Kors  Sunglasses: Ray-Ban  Bracelet: Stella and Dot  Necklace: J.Crew other colors available

I think I was channeling my innner summer girl when I pulled this outfit together. The combination of the red and white stripes plus the blue in the jacket just screams 4th of July. I can't get enough of the bold colors and the flowy maxi dress together. This is an outfit that has me dreaming of long days at the beach and cookouts with friends.

All-American Jean Jacket

Top: Hinge  Skirt: Banana Republic Similar Style  Jacket: Levi's  Shoes: Nine West  Necklace: Stella and Dot  Sunglasses: local gas station

With Memorial Day around the corner, I wanted to wear something "All-American" today. I decided to pull out my jean jacket, one of the best staple items in my closet. I haven't worn this jacket since last summer and I forgot how much I love it. It goes so well with feminine fabric like this eyelet skirt and it also looks great with floral print. It can be a great addition to almost any outfit. I am so glad I re-discovered it.
