Okay ladies and gents, here it is: the red, white and black outfit I have been talking about for weeks. First, I was looking for red pieces, then I found my first, and now here it is in all it's glory: the red outfit I needed for my trip to Houston. I am so excited about how this look came together even though it is nothing like I first imagined.

I ordered a red dress a few weeks ago and planned on wearing a simple shift dress with a black and white beaded necklace with simple heels. Well, that plan went out the window as soon as that dress arrived. Plus, replacing it was a nightmare and I finally gave up on the hunt for the perfect red dress. Especially when I spotted this bright red top at TJ Maxx last week. It is the perfect shade of red and knew it would be great with a fun chunky necklace. And boy did I get lucky with this necklace.

I searched high and low for the right white necklace and ended up buying a couple to take home and try on with this top. Well, this big ball necklace was the winner and I couldn't be more thrilled. I have wanted a big white necklace for awhile and now that I have it I am wishing I bought it months ago so I could have worn it all summer. And how fun is that sparkly ball in the middle? Obsessed.

So, after all the hype... what are your thoughts on this red, white and black outfit? Did I talk it up too much?

Although we are way past Labor Day, there is a part of me that is not ready to give up white jeans. I think a lot of that has to do with the weather we had last week but there is something so sleek and clean about white jeans. I don't know about you, but I love them. I decided I needed a simple black and white outfit for working in the coffee shop last week and this little number is what I came up with. Sometimes I just feel so fancy when I wear outfits without any color, even if it's just jeans and a t-shirt.

It's been awhile since I threw on a skirt and left the house feeling extra girly. I think the amount of sweatshirts I've been wearing lately have really been impacting my attitude and making me a little bit lazy when it comes to getting ready each day. Last week I decided I'd had enough and finally put on a skirt and heels and got back to my girly self. I forgot how much fun it is to get dressed up and walk around with heels and a clutch. Plus, this faux leather skirt is a great way to dress up this simple (and super cute) t-shirt.

I fell in love with this shirt a few weeks ago and decided that I HAD to have it when we went to down to San Fran. I knew that we wouldn't be getting much shopping in (too much focus on football and catching up with friends) so I ordered it online and had it shipped to my doorstep. Best. Decision. Ever. I forgot how much I love online shopping. This tee was on my front porch when we got back from our weekend getaway. Perfect. Maybe one day Reno will get a Zara and all my dreams will come true.

Yesterday I woke up and immediately felt like I was back in DC. The sky was grey, rain was falling and I was out of bed before seven am-- something that rarely happens around here. I took my car in for a minor repair and sipped my coffee reflecting on how much my life has changed in the past four months.

It's pretty crazy to think that is has been four whole months (to the day!) since I moved back from Washington, DC but I have to say that they have probably been some of the best months of my life. While there have been a few ups and downs, I can say-- with certainty-- I am much, much happier, which was the main goal of moving back to the best coast.

So... this is my new favorite shirt and I apologize in advance if every time you see me for the next few weeks I am wearing it. It is seriously the SOFTEST, most comfortable shirt of all time. I wore this super comfy outfit earlier this week for a quick work trip to Utah. I wanted to be comfortable on the plane and stay warm with all of the rain we were having. I ended up pairing all of this with a cozy grey sweater on the plane and I am pretty sure this is one of the best travel outfits I have ever put together. If you plan on spending any time on a plane in the next few months, I seriously recommend buying this shirt.

I know I have been talking about rompers non-stop lately and I finally inspired myself to pull mine out of the closet and style it for a night out. I wanted to come up with a way to make it dressier so I threw on my go-to gold accessories and a pair of heels. I love the way everything came together and can't wait to wear this romper out again.

Also, you may have noticed I chopped about 5-6 inches off my hair and went back to blonde. I didn't realize how sad having brown hair made me and I am suuuuper excited to be blonde again.

Now that spring is officially here (on the calendar) I can't get enough color in my outfits. Yesterday I wore bright pink to celebrate the new season and today I decided to throw on my brightest jeans. I've loved these jeans since the day I bought them a few years ago and discovering that AT still makes them in other colors is dangerous. They are one of (if not the most) comfortable pairs of pants that I own. I may have to buy the new teal color that recently came out. A girl can own two pairs of teal jeans, right?

I am getting pretty excited for this weekend. While I don't have a lot planned right now, it's my second to last weekend in DC and I am hoping to get a few things knocked off my DC Bucket List. It's going to be a perfect weekend for outdoor activities so I am hoping to get at least 3 items checked off the list.

Happy first day of spring! After this winter I couldn't be happier about the change in seasons. While it has still been extremely cold, we are looking at a high in the 70s this weekend. I. Can't. Wait.

To me, pink is the ultimate spring color. Flowers are blooming, birds are chirping and pink is everywhere. I wanted to welcome spring in the best way I know how: wearing lots of pink. Nails, shirts, etc. I plan on making this color much more a part of my outfits. I think wearing such a bright color is an instant way to cheer up... especially with all the gloomy weather we've had lately.
