Riverdance

Yesterday was one of the final US performances of Riverdance. My friend Kristin invited me earlier in the week and I, of course, said yes. The show was held at an outdoor location where food and drinks were allowed in. We has a cooler full of food and drinks and spent the evening chatting, snacking and watching a great performance.
Because we had lawn seats, I chose not to wear anything too dressy. I love the color of this top because somehow it always makes me look more tan than I am-- a must have in the summertime.

new camera
Today is the first day with my new camera. I am already in love. I went to Best Buy this morning to get a camera card and started talking to a lady about classes for DSLR cameras. I may look into taking one as many of them take place near the monuments. What a great place to learn about my new camera and take some fun pictures! I am hoping to go use my camera more today and take some pictures in this beautiful weather.

What a fabulous Saturday! We slept in, got coffee, went through email and had a very lazy morning. Then, this afternoon, we ran a few errands before we both had haircuts scheduled for 4pm. Well, a little back story on the hair appointment: About a week or so ago, I called my hairdresser to make an appointment only to find out that he quit. He no longer worked in the area but they offered to give me his cell number. When I called his cell phone to see if he could still do my hair, I got a message saying his number could no longer accept calls. Strange. So, I decided to go back to my old hairdresser. I stopped going to her because she cancelled an appointment on me once when I was running FIVE minutes late. I was so annoyed because I had been going there for two years so I completely stopped going. Well, after much hesitation, I decided to go back. Yesterday, the salon called me at 11am to confirm my appointment. Well, at 6pm, they called to tell me there was an emergency and my hairdresser would be gone for the next THREE weeks! This clearly was a sign I should not be going back.
This morning, while going through email and organizing some things for Stella and Dot, I decided to look up hair places in the area. I found a salon down the road that could fit me (and Brad!) in this afternoon. We booked appointments and showed up at 4.
When we arrived, they immediately handed us mimosas and asked us what we would like to do. It was a great experience and I will probably go back. My hair doesn't look much different than before-- which is exactly what I was going for.
march day thirty one: bliss
What a great Saturday!
This morning, I slept in a little bit before heading off to Dunkin Donuts for my favorite weekend coffee. While drinking it, I wandered around a few stores and picked up a couple new belts. I then came home, grabbed some lunch and headed to Bliss for my birthday present from Brad-- a massage. I have been looking forward to this massage for months. I am so happy I finally booked it and went!
I got to Bliss a little early (even after getting caught up in a police chase for a hit-and-run van) and changed into my robe. I tasted their amazing brownies and waited for my name to be called. I ended up having one of the best massages of my life. I LOVE Bliss. I even scheduled pedicure appointments for when my mom arrives.
After my massage, I stopped by a couple stores on my way home. I had very little luck but I love just wandering around, especially on nice sunny days like today. I then came home, painted my nails and just relaxed while catching up on my DVR. Such a nice day!
