Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day!
I hope everyone spends the day celebrating love-- whether it's with a significant other, friends, family or a pet. Be sure to tell those around you how much you love them today!
I am couting down the hours until my dinner date tonight. I am excited to make a new V-day recipe (but I can't give out the details just yet)!

Indoor Photos: Take Two

Dress: Ya Los Angeles  Tights: HUE  Boots: Bandolino  Watch: Michael Kors  Bracelets: Stella and Dot

As I've mentioned before, taking pictures inside is still a struggle for me. But with temperatures (and wind chills!) so low,  I can't imagine standing out in the cold each morning pretending to be warm. Although my pictures are not as great as I'd like, at least I'm warm… and sometimes, that is most imporant.
The last time I wore this dress,  I paired it with heels and a clutch for a night out. I think it so fun to mix up dresses for the winter and completely change the look.
What do you like better: the dress with tights and boots or the dress with heels? Let me know!

Wearing a Dress as a Skirt

One of my favorite things to do with clothes is wear them in a new or unconventional way. (See how I wore a dress as top here!) I bought this dress a few months ago and have been in love with the pattern since. I have been hesitant to wear it again because I think the pattern is so bold, so I wanted to come up with a way to remix the dress. Pairing it with a solid top and a fun bow belt was a great way to break up the heavy pattern making the dress look entirely different. The long sleeves are also a great, easy way to take this dress from fall to winter.

End of Summer

With the last few days of Summer approaching, I decided to wear this white dress one last time before Labor Day. I know they say you can now wear white after Labor Day, but I felt this was a good excuse to pull this dress out of my closet. I love the eyelet detail and I think the cardigan gives it a very summery, feminine look.
I hope you have a great holiday weekend!
