Today I woke up thinking what a great day it would be. Wednesdays are some of my favorite days because of my evening Barre Body workout class. It is a great way to break up the week and gives me a way to unwind after work. 

I remembered this pair of shoes I bought for an upcoming wedding and the color matched my mood perfectly. I wanted something bright and uplifting and something to pop against my rather boring outfit. These shoes were the perfect addition to my outfit.

The Legwamers

Last night, a few friends and I went to see The Legwarmers at the State Theater. The Legwarmers are an 80s tribute band that play in the area every few months. The shows typically sell out well in advance so we bought our tickets months ago. We had a great time singing and dancing to 80s pop songs all night.

With this muggy, overcast day we are having, I decided to add a pop of color to my rather mundane outfit. I love all the neon accents in stores this year and a skinny belt was the perfect way to add just the right amount of color.

march day fourteen: necklace

I decided to switch things up.

As you may have noticed, in my last post, I talked about taking pictures of things that are more meaningful. Instead of waiting until April, I am starting now.

Last night, Kristin and I went to Girls Night Out. We were not really sure what to expect other than we knew that we paid $15 and were told it was free drinks all night. Well, it was better than that! For our $15 ticket, we got a bag of goodies (snacks, sample beauty products, etc.), free drinks from 5-10pm and a night of shopping from cute vendors not in the DC area. We wandered around for a few hours sipping cosmos and picking out new clothes and jewelry. I came home with a few new necklaces and a new ring. Kristin bought a couple of dresses and some jewelry. We had a great night! I mean, how could you not? Drinks and shopping? It was pretty much heaven. 

I took a picture of my neon necklace I bought last night and I am using it as my photo of the day. I love how bright it is. It is hard to capture with my phone, but it is neon. The necklace, along with the 80 degree weather today, definitely puts me in the mood for summer. I can't wait for beach trips, pools and warm summer nights.
