Fourth of July Prep

Top: Venus Swimwear similar here  Shorts: Lauren Conrad  Shoes: BCBG Paris  Hat: Charming Charlie similar here  Sunglasses: American Eagle Outfitters

We are only a little over a week out from my favorite holiday of the year: Fourth of July. It's no secret that I've been stocking up on patriotic gear and this upcoming holiday will not be in short supply of red, white and blue. I am still trying to figure out my plans for the holiday weekend, but at least I know my wardrobe is ready to go. I plan on wearing my stars and stripes up to the beach and Tahoe and then making a plan to see fireworks.

Tonight is my event at Veritas, can't wait to see y'all there!

Memorial Day Weekend: 2014

memorial day 2014

So, I say it every year and I will say it again-- with Memorial Day as the official start of summer, I feel some sort of obligation to pull out everything I own that is red, white and blue. I actually just ordered the tank above so I have the shirt I want for Fourth of July this year. I always wait until too close to the holiday to get the exact shirt I want. Not this year! I can't wait for it to arrive in a few weeks!

Here are some of my favorite patriotic pieces that I plan on wearing all weekend long.

Top: Mango  Shorts: Ksubi  Shoes: Zara  Bag: Dooney and Bourke  Nail Polish: Essie  Necklace: ASOS  Bracelets: R J Graziano  Sunglasses: Opening Ceremony

I could not be more excited for the upcoming three day weekend. While we are not heading out of town, I am looking forward to a few days of perfect weather, cookouts and catching up with friends.
Something about Memorial Day Weekend and the start of summer screams patriotism to me. I love pulling out everything red, white, blue (and gold!) that I own and rocking it to every backyard bbq we visit. My ideal weekend is full of laughs, sunshine, and lots of American flags. Oh, and lots of funky gold jewelry.
Have a great three day weekend!
