Last weekend's weather was exactly what I've been waiting for: cold, rainy, and cloudy. As soon as I woke up to a cool wind coming through my windows I knew exactly what I wanted to wear: fleece-lined tights. I remember living in them last winter but forgot how amazingly comfortable these bad boys were until I put them on with my favorite boots. Now that I am familiar with how great they are again, they are obvi going to become a staple in my wardrobe. Sorry I'm not sorry I plan on living in tights this winter.

Yesterday I woke up and immediately felt like I was back in DC. The sky was grey, rain was falling and I was out of bed before seven am-- something that rarely happens around here. I took my car in for a minor repair and sipped my coffee reflecting on how much my life has changed in the past four months.

It's pretty crazy to think that is has been four whole months (to the day!) since I moved back from Washington, DC but I have to say that they have probably been some of the best months of my life. While there have been a few ups and downs, I can say-- with certainty-- I am much, much happier, which was the main goal of moving back to the best coast.

May Showers & May Flowers

I spend this past weekend inside, out of the rain, and on a Spring Cleaning mission. I decided this weekend was the weekend to clean out my closet, get rid of clothes I never wear and install some shelves in the bottom of my closet to allow for more clothing storage. After I got my room just how I wanted it, I decided to take my camera out and snap some photos of the rain covered flowers around my neighborhood.

Here are a few of my favorites:

What did you do this past weekend?
