Halloween DIY

With Halloween coming up tomorrow, I wanted to put up an easy DIY costume.
Every year, I want to dress up as a cat and somehow I am always talked out of it. This year, I was given a costume from a friend and was set on using it until the morning before dressing up. I woke up and knew that I wanted to dress up as a cat this year. I never realized how easy and inexpensive it is to dress up as a cat.

This costume was made in just a few minutes and for under $15.

Items needed:
A Cat Tail $4.15 at local costume store

A Headband $3.99 for a pack of 5

Fuzzy pipe cleaners $5.00

Boots (or heels) which I already owned

For my outfit, I was struggling with what combination to wear: tights, shorts, skirt, leather skirt, tank top, tube top, long sleeved top, bodysuit, etc. I ended up wearing a tank top with a skirt and my boots. I was going back and forth on the tights but the weather ended up being warmer than expected. Tights are always a great option when the weather does not cooperate.

The accessories were very easy to put together. I wrapped the headband with two pipe cleaners and molded them in the shape of ears. I safety pinned the tail on my skirt and I was set. For an added effect, I wrapped an extra pipe cleaner around my neck for a collar and one more around my wrist. Oh, and added a feather boa that I found in my closet.

This costume was so simple and I love the classic halloween cat costume.
What do you think?
