Shopping tends to be a love or hate activity, but at some point it becomes a necessity for us all. Regardless of which camp you fall into, shopping can be an infinitely more pleasurable experience if you understand the look that suits you best and shop accordingly. When looking at ladies tops there are a multitude of options; long sleeved, short sleeved, V neck, heart shaped, baggy, fitted, the list is endless. Here is a short guide to knowing what style will suit your shape best:
The V neck
V necklines can be incredibly flattering to a woman with a fuller chest, and can offer a distraction for the eye from an apple shaped waistline. The V neck tends to be a flattering cut for most women; however if you have a long or narrow face it may be worth steering away from this elongating style.
The Halter neck
This daring style beautifully suits smaller women with well toned arms and defined chests. Slim ladies can really make an impact in a halter neck. It is best avoided by heavier set women or ladies with large bosoms as it tends to make you look larger than you are.
The Round neck
High round neck tops tend to flatter plus sizes or women who have short necks, typically described as a crew neckline you probably want to avoid this style if you are quite round in your facial features as it will make you seem larger than you are. Likewise, if you have a large chest this style will make you appear larger than normal.
A scooped round neck will flatter a small chest woman by making it appear as if she were bigger on top. Again, this style helps those with narrow shoulders appear more balanced with a stronger line.
If you are not sure about what shape you are get a friend to give you an honest appraisal and then cater your shopping tastes to that style. You will find the whole process of searching for clothes that fit a more rewarding and pleasing experience.
Great tips, thanks!
