It's no secret that I love things that sparkle and diamonds are no exception. While I can't shell out tons of cash on them at the moment, I can still dream of diamonds I hope to own one day. My recent obsession in the diamond world is black diamonds. They are so pretty and a definite twist on your usual diamond, yet they still sparkle just the same.

I'm not sure why, but I cannot seem to get enough metallic in my life lately. It may be that the fresh new (shiny) start of the new year is still lingering, but there is just something about this time of year that pulls me into these sparkly metals. 

I recently fell in love with a set of pillows similar to the ones above and I was so excited to unwrap the box when it arrived on my doorstep. I love the little pops of gold I am slowly infusing around my house. I now have gold-dotted pillows, gold-flecked drinking glasses, gold accents on a few of my mugs and gold chargers to go beneath my plates. Clearly gold is taking over not only my jewelry collection lately, but many of my housewares as well.
