Can you believe it? We finally got above 50 degrees this weekend! It seriously felt like a heatwave around here and I couldn't be happier about it. Sadly, it's expected to snow again this week. But back to this past weekend. I drove around in my (freshly washed) car with the sunroof open and music blasting. It got go me incredibly excited for summer and I just can't wait to be done with all of this freezing-ness.

One of the great things about the warmer weather is being able to layer your clothes and as the day warms up, you can easily strip layers. One of my favorite ways to layer is with a button up shirt, sweater and a light jacket. I can't seem to get enough of this jacket lately and it's such a steal at Old Navy. I highly recommend snagging it ASAP before it sells out.

Hope you had a great weekend and enjoyed the Superbowl!

A Lesson in Layering

One of my favorite things to do is layer clothes and wear them in unexpected ways. For example, I have worn a dress as a shirt (here) and a maxi dress as a skirt (here) which inspired today's outfit. With the cold weather setting in, layering is the only way to leave the house. I decided to wear this baggy sweater over my skirt to give it a more dressed down look and add some warmth.

Also, this hat. I am obsessed. I am not usually a hat girl but lately all I have wanted to do is buy more hats. This one is so classic and can be worn with just about anything. I've even considered trying to pull it off in the office... but so far, it's strictly been for after work and weekends.
