Perfect Jeans

Top: J.Crew  Scarf: Francesca's  Jeans: Citizens of Humanity  Shoes: Target  Sunglasses: Ray-Ban  Bag: Target no longer available, similar here  Bracelet: J.Crew similar here Watch: Michael Kors

I have been looking for a new favorite pair of jeans. since last winter. I wore my favorite pair of JOE'S out and they ended up tearing all the way down the leg. It was a sad, sad day and it took me months to finally throw them away. Since that day, I have been looking for a perfect pair to replace them.
Enter: these jeans.
I have a few pairs of Citizens in my closet but none nearly as stretchy as these. I ordered these from Shopbop hoping they would be as soft and stretchy as they are. From the moment I pulled them out of the box, I knew they were a perfect match.

Black and Pink and White All Over

On Tuesday, I woke up wanting to wear my glasses. It's been awhile since I have worn my specs to the office so I decided to skip my contacts for a day and throw on one of my favorite pairs of glasses. Somehow, my outfit turned into a whole bunch of pink, black and white-- and I didn't even notice it until I was on my way to work and looked down at my coffee mug. It too followed the color scheme perfectly. Who knew that leaving my regular to-go cup at work would cause so much matching?

If you follow me on Instagram, you already saw how well my coffee mug fell into the theme earlier this week:

Peplum Party

Top: Living Doll  Pants: Gap  Shoes: Guess  Bracelets: Stella and Dot  Watch: Michael Kors  Sunglasses: Ray-Ban  Necklace: Francesca's

I am a little late in joining the peplum party, but I was so hesitant to try out this new style for a variety of reasons. Last week, I finally took the plunge when I found this striped peplum top. I figured, it's pretty simple with the black and white so if I were ever going to try it, it was going to be with this shirt. Well, confession: I love it. I now wish I would have jumped on board with this trend months ago. The cut of the shirt is much more flattering than expected and its more comfortable than a form-fitting shirt.
What are your thoughts on peplum? Love it or leave it?

Neon Accent

One of my favorite things about warmer weather is the neon accents that tend to come out--especially around spring break time. This year is no exception. I love adding touches of neon to simple outfits as a bit of a statement. This clutch goes with everything and the neon really adds a lot to the outfit. It was such a great deal at Target for only $24 so I just couldn't pass it up.
What are some of your favorite things about warmer weather?

Black and Gold

It is no secret that I love gold. The combo of gold and black is one that I don't typically talk about but seriously adore. It is so classy and can be worn in such a variety of ways. I wanted an easy way to dress up these mint jeans last week for a day in the office and I figured black and gold was a perfect way to do so. The colors really pop against the white and mint and truly dress up a this simple spring outfit.

Whale Watch

Top: H&M  Sweater: J.Crew  Pants: JCP  Scarf: Francesca's  Sunglasses: Ray-Ban  Bracelets: Stella and Dot  Watch: Michael Kors

If I could wear scarves every day of my life, I would. They are my my favorite accessory and I am now running out of creative ways to store them in my closet.
I spotted this whale scarf this past weekend and knew it was a perfect transition piece into spring. The lightweight fabric and the fun, bright pattern is perfect for the soon-to-come warmer weather. I can't wait to wear it with a bright sundress and sandals!
