Cool Casual

The past few days have been full of rain, bringing in cool temps that could not be more welcomed in this crazy heat we've been having. I decided that I would embrace this cool weather and pull out my favorite jeans for a comfy workday outfit. I have been all about shorts and skirts these days but I always forget how much I love my jeans until I put them on and spend a day working in them. These are seriously the best jeans I have ever owned... no wonder I own at least three pairs of the same kind. Whoops.

Black and Blue

Yesterday was my birthday and I woke up feeling extra girly.  I knew that this busy shoe top was exactly what I needed to wear my feelings on my sleeve (see what i did there?). I mean, navy and yellow and shoes-- seems like the perfect shirt to me! It was a great piece to transition from day to night as well so I threw a pair of jeans in my purse and changed into them for a night out on the town, and checking out some fun Christmas lights, with some friends. I love pieces that can easily transition and this top did exactly that.

Winter Wish List

winter wish list

Jacket: Superdry  Sunglasses: Sole Society  Boots: Old Navy  Top: Gap  Scarf: Jades24  Jeans: J Brand  Earrings: Michael Kors  Watch: Michael Kors  Nail Polish: OPI  Gloves: SO Pretty  Bag: Gigi New York

Now that the cold weather is here to stay, it's time to start thinking about ways to dress up your outfits this winter. A few things that every good winter outfit consists of are a great bag, sparkly accessories and a warm, flattering coat. I would happily own any of the above items and love that the prices range anywhere from $6-$500 so there is really something for every budget. While I am currently doing my best to not spend too much money on myself (gotta save up for the holidays!) I know that splurging on those boots or sunglasses wouldn't break the bank and they may have to be one of my next purchases.

What about you-- what are you wishing for this winter?
