So, yesterday it snowed allllll day. When are we finally going to get spring-like weather? I am so sick of cold weather at this point. Luckily, I'll be out of this humidity in just over a week. I can't wait to spend this summer back on the west coast.

Today I am spending the day traveling up to New Jersey to take care of a few things for my new job before I leave. I am pretty excited to spend the day on the train catching up on emails and getting ready for a crazy week next week.

With less than 48 hours until the big day (ahem, Christmas) I am making sure to get all my last minute errands in today in hopes of avoiding all grocery stores, malls, etc. tomorrow. While all of my big gifts are purchased, I am sure a few things will pop up that I will have to run out and buy before wrapping and cooking commences. Once every thing is settled I plan on watching endless amounts of Christmas movies and spending a lot of quality time with my family.

Now that the cooler weather has finally arrived, it is the perfect time to bring out my down vest and, of course, my entire scarf collection. I bought this reindeer scarf a few months ago at Eastern Market and knew it would be a great statement piece to transition into the colder months. I love how it has that tacky sweater feel, yet is really soft and pairs perfectly with jeans. It is the perfect piece to start a conversation or bundle up and stay warm during these cold mornings we've been having.

When BA Star sent me this lip color, I initially thought it was too bold for every day use. Boy was I wrong. I haven't gone a day without it since it landed on my doorstep. This red is perfect for just about any occasion-- work, date night, running errands or even just around the house to feel a bit more pulled together. I am loving it with my darker hair and can think of hundreds of places to wear this new color. I never thought I was a red lipstick kinda girl, but this lip color totally changed my mind. It is exremely easy to put on and it seems to last forever.

It's hard to believe this is my second Presidential Inauguration! Four years ago was one of the coldest days of my life so I am pretty excited we are looking at much warmer weather this year! But just in case, I bought a new coat and plan on wearing very warm boots. It's crazy how much you can learn in four years! I hope everyone has a fabulous holiday!
