Summer Style

Dress: Roxy similar here  Vest: Forever 21  Shoes: Sam Edelman  Bracelets: Stella and Dot and Alex and Ani here and here  Necklace: Stella and Dot  Sunglasses: Ray-Ban  Lip Color: Buxom

Last summer I couldn't get enough of this denim vest and this year is looking to be no different. Denim vests are a great way to completely change the look of any outfit. This dress is actually strapless and a perfect beach coverup... but with the right vest, it transforms the look into something perfect for an afternoon BBQ or drinks with some friends. I actually put this outfit together last week for a friend's birthday and loved how simple the entire look was. Plus, it was great because it was so light and the weather was so hot. Sadly, it's cooled down a bit and the wind has been non-stop.

Have you picked up a denim vest yet?

Current Beauty Faves

I don't usually talk about beauty products here on the blog but the more I think about it, the more I think I want to incorporate more beauty products on here. It's amazing the amount of different products I try out/ play with/ use on a routine basis and I'd love to start sharing more of my finds.

Right now, I have four favorites that I can't live without. The first would be Maybelline Color Elixir. I actually discovered this lip color last week while reading Alison's blog and had to know more about the color. When she told me more about it, I knew I had to pick some up and try it out. Luckily, her recommendation was 100% accurate and I'm now in love. Not to mention it's such a change from my typical red/ reddish color.

The second product on my obsession list is this blush from theBalm. It adds just the perfect amount of color and shimmer... and I recently used up my second one. It is very affordable and lasts forever but I can't seem to get enough. I think it's a perfect shade for almost every skin tone.

Number three: my red lipstick. I have been wearing this color non-stop for weeks now and I'd like to blame it on this terrible weather. There is hope that someday it will warm up and I will completely convert to the Maybelline color above. But for now, this red is my go-to for just about every event.

Last, but not least, root spray. When I got my hair cut last time, I was introduced to this product and immediately had to have a bottle of my own. The texture and volume that this adds is great for fine hair. I always struggle with hair products weighing my hair down too much but this is the opposite. I love the way my hair feels after styling it with this product.

Do you have any beauty products you are loving these days?

Perfect Match

Dress: Banana Republic similar here  Scarf: Zara  Bag: Phillip Lim for Target  Sunglasses: Ray-Ban  Lips: Buxom  Watch: Michael Kors  Bracelets: Stella and Dot and J.Crew  Boots: Frye

I'm not gonna lie, one of my go-to moves on busy mornings is throwing on a LBD and dressing it up with some accessories. Some days there just isn't time to put together an elaborate outfit and yesterday was one of those days. I re-discovered this dress in my closet and woke up wanting to be extra warm with my blanket scarf. Once the discovery was made, I knew it was a match made in heaven. Comfy dress+ warm scarf? Nothing could be better.

Today leads us into the first long weekend of the year and I couldn't be more excited to see a few days ahead full of relaxation. Oh, and the 49ers are playing again this weekend so there is plenty to look forward to.

Happy Friday y'all!

Christmas Eve Eve

Top: Banana Republic  Vest: The North Face  Jeans: Citizens of Humanity  Boots: Frye  Necklace: Stella and Dot  Bracelets: J.Crew and Stella and Dot  Sunglasses: Ray-Ban  Watch: Michael Kors  Earrings: J.Crew  Lip Color: Buxom Provocateur

With less than 48 hours until the big day (ahem, Christmas) I am making sure to get all my last minute errands in today in hopes of avoiding all grocery stores, malls, etc. tomorrow. While all of my big gifts are purchased, I am sure a few things will pop up that I will have to run out and buy before wrapping and cooking commences. Once every thing is settled I plan on watching endless amounts of Christmas movies and spending a lot of quality time with my family.
