Make a Statement

As you can see, yesterday was quite a humid morning here in DC. (I apologize for the picture quality.) I awoke to raindrops falling and very little inspiration for getting ready. One of my favorite ways to battle this lack of inspiration is to throw on a statement necklace. I love the way they steal the show when paired with a solid dress or top. I pulled out this old dress from my closet and instantly knew it was a perfect match. Plus, it was a great way to show off the details of the necklace with my hair pulled up away from my face.

Happy Tuesday! It is really hot here again so a dress was really the only way to go. I still can't get enough of all the neon accents these days so I decided to wear one of my favorite belts to lighten up this dark dress. The contrast with the neon belt is perfect for a hot summer day. It is really bright and cheerful and sure to catch everyone's attention.

Today is another perfect dress day. The weather should be beautiful in the city today so a dress and heels is the perfect outfit- especially for a lunch date outside. I found this old dress in my closet and haven't worn it in a long time. I paired it with a neon belt and decided it was just the look I was going for. I can't wait to enjoy the sunshine.
