A'hoy

Hi lovelies! I am so thrilled to be guest blogging here on Style for the Seasons. My name is Christine and I write for Couture Bay, where I help you find on trend looks for a fraction of the price on Etsy.

Warm weather is finally creeping back into our lives and there's nothing I love to throw on more than the nautical stripe. They have become a staple in my wardrobe for years and go with everything from basic jeans to skirts with heels. I've discovered some pieces that would cause even Picasso to have anchor envy. You'll feel like you're about to set sail in any of these nautical inspired pieces.

Nautical cardigan from Re-Run Vintage.

Vintage 1980s Nina nautical red stripe shoes from List it Cafe.

Nautical navy and white striped sweater from The Loved One.

Thanks for letting me post, Sara! I hope you'll come visit me sometime soon over at Couture Bay to see other great finds I come up with!

Monogrammed Earrings

Dress: Cotton On  Boots: Bandolino  Tights: Assets  Sunglasses: Ray-Ban  Bracelets: Stella and Dot  Nail Polish: Essie Borrowed and Blue  Earrings: Etsy  Watch: Michael Kors

On Friday, I posted some of the pastel items I am craving this season. One of which, was these monogrammed earrings. I spotted a pair on a blog a few weeks ago and thought what a perfect way to switch up my jewelry. So often, I find myself wearing the same few pairs of earrings. I am so excited to now have a spring/ summer pair to wear with my monogram on them. Plus, the color of them pulls out the lighter colors in ths fun tribal-like dress.

Pretty in Pastels

Dress: Dry Lake  Shoes: Chinese Laundry  Bag: Rebecca Minkoff  Watch: Fossil  Earrings: Etsy  Belt: Ruche

With Easter just around the corner, this week's Friday's Fancies theme is Pretty in Pastels. My must-have for every Easter gathering: Peeps. I secretly love them and had to include them above. One of my favorite things about Peeps is the annual Washington Post Peeps diorama contest that comes out each spring. Every year, I spend way too much time looking at the great detail in each of the entries. One day, I may even enter! Which entry is your favorite this year?
I can't pick just one, but I'm a big fan of the year in Peeps!

Navy Stripes

Top: Banana Republic  Sweater: J.Crew Similar Style  Pants: Gap  Shoes: Wanted  Necklace: Etsy  Watch: Michael Kors  Sunglasses: Ray-Ban  Bag: Tory Burch

Last week, while reading over my daily blog list, I came across this post from Alison at Long Distance Loving. I instantly fell in love with the shoes and logged onto Piperlime and ordered them right away. I was so happy to have them delivered during the snowquester and couldn't wait to wear them out. I think they are such a great staple for the upcoming seasons as I am obsessed with navy stripes these days.
