Wednesday Wedges

wednesday wedges

Can we just talk about how Sole Society is killing it with wedges lately? These shoes have been my go-to for the past few weeks and browsing the Sole Society website only makes me want every. single. pair. They are cute and comfortable and I think I could find a way to wear wedges to every event ever. Including yesterday when I forgot I was wearing my fave pair and ended up heading to the airport in them. And because they are so comfortable, my feet didn't hurt after walking through multiple airports. Ahh, heaven. I love finding new, amazing shoes.

Joining Sole Society is easy, just click here and start shopping. Oh, and this is definitely not a sponsored post. I am just super in love with these wedges.

Lunch Date

Happy Tuesday! I am in a great mood today! The weather is perfect, I am leaving for vacation soon and I have a fun lunch date planned with a few people at work. Because my last day is coming up, we are heading out to a new pizza place today and I am so excited to try it. I love going to new places and am so excited for a midday break.
Plus, the weather has been great lately and I have been able to wear my newest purchase: my folding Wayfarer glasses. I have been eyeing wayfarers for a little over a year now and when I found these folding ones, I had to have them. They fold up into a small case and take up very little room in my purse. What could be better? Can't wait to take them up to Michigan with me!

Back to Work

After quite an exciting weekend, today I had to get ready to head back to work. Mondays are always tough after a fun weekend. This past weekend, two of my friends from college moved to DC and into our house. I am so excited to have friends from back home out here. Now, just a short week of work and then off to Michigan for a wedding!

Hope you have a great Monday!

All Grown Up

Dress: The Limited Similar Style  Necklace: Stella and Dot  Shoes: Steve Madden  Bag: Coach Similar Style

I feel very grown up today because I am now able to share with you that I have accepted a new position with a non-profit organization. I am quite excited about my new adventure! Because of this big step, I decided to dress up a little today. I can't get enough of simple dresses in the summer. Especially with all this humidity we have right now, a dress was the perfect outfit for today.

Summer Chambray

Top: Banana Republic  Skirt: Lilly Pulitzer Similar Style  Shoes: Kensie Girl  Bag: Coach Similar Style

The first time I wore this shirt, I absolutely fell in love. Well, nothing has changed. I think it looks great with everything I pair it with. I was leaning towards white jeans this morning and then remembered this skirt hanging in my closet. I love the amount of color I was able to put into my outfit today. So often I find myself wearing black and white so I was so glad I remembered this bright yellow skirt. The blue and yellow contrast is perfect for this summer day.

Blowin' in the Breeze

Dress: Double Zero purchased at Current Boutique  Shoes: Bandolino Similar Style  Bag: Kate Spade  Bracelet: Stella and Dot

Yesterday I did my first story for DC Life Magazine. They asked me to start writing for them a couple of weeks ago and I was able to set up an interview with Current Boutique, one of my favorite consignment (and new clothing!) stores in the Arlington area. They always have such great finds, including this dress. I love the color, the hemline, everything! It is so comfortable and I just had to buy it while I was there.
I cannot wait to hear what you think!
