Calm Before the Storm

Well, here we are again. Another snow storm. Luckily, I was able to snap these photos yesterday before the temperatures got even colder. But don't let the sun trick you in these photos-- it was anything but warm while taking these pics.

I am not going to lie-- I can see myself in this outfit, or variations of this outfit, many times over the next few weeks. Between the packing, moving and the fact that most of my clothes are already packed, I definitely see a lot of leggings in the immediate future. At least I didn't pack up ALL of my accessories so there are plenty of ways to dress up this simple, casual outfit.

I'm not gonna lie, one of my go-to moves on busy mornings is throwing on a LBD and dressing it up with some accessories. Some days there just isn't time to put together an elaborate outfit and yesterday was one of those days. I re-discovered this dress in my closet and woke up wanting to be extra warm with my blanket scarf. Once the discovery was made, I knew it was a match made in heaven. Comfy dress+ warm scarf? Nothing could be better.

Today leads us into the first long weekend of the year and I couldn't be more excited to see a few days ahead full of relaxation. Oh, and the 49ers are playing again this weekend so there is plenty to look forward to.

As you know, I can't seem to get enough of this scarf. I am pretty sure I have worn it/ carried it with me every day since it arrived on my doorstep. Today I wanted to bundle up in it like a big blanket in lieu of wearing an extra layer. I think I was extra inspired by Kendi to wear more and more of these blanket scarves as the temperatures continue to drop. It's so nice to leave the house without a big jacket in tow.

Also, I am extremely excited for this afternoon as I impulsively bought a flight to Vegas and am heading out for a long weekend.
