Time Flies

Time flies when you're having fun! It's hard to believe in less than 24 hours we will be Florida-bound! I have been counting down to this weekend for months and am so excited to spend some time in the sun and catch up with my fam.
Wishing I had this silver Michael Kors watch to match new bathing suit!

Hot Air Balloons

Last weekend, while I was still in Reno, I attended one of my favorite events the city puts on: The Great Reno Balloon Races! I went every year that I lived in Reno and have greatly missed it since I moved away. I was so excited to have planned my trip home during the balloon races. I wanted to post a few of the 100 photos I took so everyone can see what a great event this is. It is definitely worth waking up before the sun to see the balloons dotting the sky.
I hope you had a fabulous weekend!

**Camera update: I dropped my camera off at the photography shop in DC and they are going to keep it for the next week. These photos were all taken prior to dropping my camera.**

Weekend Recap

Here are some pictures from my iPhone that I took over the weekend.
Hope you have a great week!

Photo booth at the wedding. This is just a small sampling of the amount of pictures we took in there. So much fun!

New hair! I am so happy my hair is finally darker.

Twinsies! Mom and I got matching pedicures over the weekend.

Balloon races. This is my favorite event in Reno. I have over 100 pictures on my real camera from Friday morning. Hopefully I will have a chance to go through all the photos soon so I can post some of my favorites.

My little, Lisa. She is one of my favorite people and I am so so glad we got to catch up over the weekend.

What is a trip home without some In-N-Out?

Champagne and raspberries before the jewelry party!

Lake Tahoe. Amazing.

Haley. Love this pup.

Color Blocked

Top: Gap  Shorts: Abercrombie  Shoes: Jessica Simpson

In preparation for fall, I pulled out a cozy sweater and a new look. I finally made my hair darker! I have been wanting to tone down the blonde for awhile now and I finally was able to make the switch. I really like how it is much closer to my natural color and I am so so excited to have darker hair for the upcoming colder months.

Prepped for Vacay

Top: H&M Similar Style  Sweater: Banana Republic  Shorts: Banana Republic  Shoes: Ralph Lauren  Watch: Michael Kors  Necklace: Betsey Johnson

This upcoming weekend I am heading home for the first time in almost two years. I am so excited to go home and visit friends, family and favorite restaurants. In anticipation of my trip, I have started packing my suitcase(s). I want to take some of my favorite things home-- which is where this outfit comes into play. I am obsessed with cardigans, especially this super soft one from Banana. My new loafers came in the mail and I love them. Plus, it is still shorts weather out in Nevada. I can't wait to hop on the plane and head home for a week of vacation.

Holiday Weekend

Dress: Victoria's Secret  Sweater: J.Crew  Shoes: Zappos  Necklace: Stella and Dot  Bangles: Stella and Dot

Are you getting excited for the long holiday weekend? I am. A few days full of fun, friends, the beach and the boyfriend. I can't wait! I woke up in such a good mood today in anticipation of the weekend. I grabbed my favorite sweater, threw it on over a dress, and ran out the door. The color is, by far, my favorite and it just added to my good mood.

I hope you have a great long weekend!
Do you have any fun plans?

march day nine through eleven

March day nine: something red.

On Friday, Meg, Ashley and Kristin and I decided to go out for a fun dinner. We ended up making reservations at Mala Tang in Arlington. It is a hot pot restaurant that is delicious. We got to dinner about 8:45 and proceeded to eat for awhile. I took a picture of the chair as my "something red" picture.

After dinner, we stopped at the store and got a few things for the rest of our night. We then met up with Brad and his friends and we out in Clarendon.

On Saturday, we woke up and went  to the American History Museum.

We spent the afternoon looking at Lincoln's hat and first lady dresses. We were disappointed to find out that Julia Child's kitchen AND the Wizard of Oz ruby slippers are currently not in the museum for cleaning reasons. Very sad. The photo of the day for Saturday is "loud." I wanted to take a picture of all of the tour groups full of children for my picture but I am not sure how I felt about snapping photos of strange children-- so I went with a photo from the museum. Museums are strangely louder than I thought. We spent a few hours at the Amerian History Museum before heading over to the Natural History Muesum to see the Hope Diamond

Then, this morning, Meg and Ashley had to pack up and head home. So sad! I hate when vacations end.

Today's photo of the day is someone you talked to. I picked these pictures of Megan from this past weekend. It has been so long since we have spent any amout of time together and I was so happy to catch up. I love this girl.

feb day four: a stranger

In preparation for my trip tomorrow, I decided getting a pedicure today was a necessity. One last final step in preparation for Arizona. My stranger that I photographed: my pedicurist.
I am almost all ready for my trip now. Bags packed, nails painted, hair done. I think the only thing left to do is check in for my flight.
I am SO excited.
I will be gone for about a week so I won't be able to update my blog. I will continue to take photos throughout the week and will have one huge post next weekend.
