Yesterday morning was a big moment for my inner sorority girl. My chapter had a ribbon cutting ceremony for the brand new house they just bought and renovated and I took the opportunity to dress up and catch up with a bunch of my sisters. I started my morning at the airport picking up one of my favorite advisors and running up to the house in time to catch the ceremony. Then, we spent a few hours chatting and catching up while touring the new pad. It is soooo cute. I wish we had Pinterest when I was in college! It was a wonderful morning seeing all my old college friends and finally taking a picture with my adorable sorority fam in front of our new letters. Maybe one day I will grow up and stop pretending I'm in college. Until then, I am going to soak up all the memories I can.

What a weekend! I had quite an action-packed weekend and it looks like this week is going to be nothing short of busy either. Friday night started off with a reunion over dinner with some of my sorority sisters who were in town. It was so fun catching up over some beers and delicious food. We ended up making our way downtown over the course of the evening, only to run into more friends that were visiting. Nothing beats catching up with old amigas!

Saturday was spent helping my mom update her wardrobe before running off to a friend's graduation party wearing this dress. We sipped on sangria while watching the Belmont Stakes and then I was off to my dad's to celebrate his birthday. (Today is his actual birthday, Happy Birthday Dad!) We had a great dinner, minus the rain, and spent the evening chatting outside and catching up. I finished off the night with some fancy cocktails with friends at a new bar near my house.

Sunday was my favorite day of the weekend because my BFF from high school was in town and we went to breakfast. It's been years (okay two) since we last saw each other and it was so much fun to see her. I then spent the day running errands with another great friend before winding up at the pool. After spending the day with some of my favorites, I was then talked into buying a flight and heading to my sorority convention in Las Vegas in just a few days. I seriously cannot wait to see everybody when I arrive. This now makes four trips in the month of June. Yay!

Hope your weekend was just as fabulous!

Some days you wake up and just want to be lazy. Today I was having the lazy problem when it came to my hair. It's been pretty hot lately and spending time using the hair dryer and curling iron just wasn't appealing. So, I decided to try out the "air dry" look. I usually hate my hair like this but for some reason it really worked well with this casual outfit. I am pretty sure I spent the whole day at home working so no one really saw my lazy hair but it's nice to know that my hair finally won't frizz up when air dried. Boy, I love living somewhere that has no humidity.

I decided to really step out of my comfort zone the other day and *gasp* mix patterns. I am not one to really step outside the lines and get all crazy with patterns but I really, really love the way this black and white skirt looks with these stripes. Maybe it's the combination of all of my favorite patterns topped off with little red bows.

Also, I snagged a few other items from the Marimekko collection that was just released at BR and am pretttty excited about them. Of course I missed out on everything online and my local store didn't carry the pants I was dying for but I am loving the dress and shorts that are still sitting in the bag. I can't wait to pull them out later this summer. The whole collection is just so cute!

Don't forget that you only have one day left to enter my giveaway!
