Off to the Coffee Shop

Top: J.Crew Factory  Shorts: Banana Republic  Shoes: Sam Edelman  Sunglasses: Ray-Ban  Watch: Michael Kors  Bracelets: Stella and Dot and gifted  Phone Case: Casemate  Earrings: J.Crew Factory identical here

One of my favorite things to do now that we have perfect weather and lots of sunshine is throw on a casual outfit and spend my day working at a coffee shop. I have had a few fun coffee dates, like last week, I grabbed coffee with an old friend and sat in the shade enjoying my cup of joe. Plus, I can always arrive early and get some work done and get out of the house. It's a win-win situation.

Also, I recently bought a new bike helmet so I am now ready to start riding my bike to the coffee shops down the street. There are about five in a one-mile radius from my house. I can't wait to ride my bike there... as long as I can figure out the best way to bike with my laptop.

Summer Stripes

Dress: Lilly Pulitzer similar here  Shoes: Jessica Simpson  Necklace: The Pink Palm similar here  Watch: Michael Kors  Sunglasses: Ray-Ban  Bracelets: Stella and Dot and BaubleBar

When I ordered this dress this past winter, I was so happy to have a striped cover-up to take with me to the pool or the beach. I've been counting down the days until the weather gets warm enough to bust this guy out. I did pull the dress out for a poolside day in Florida a few months ago, but it just wasn't enough.

Well, fast forward a few months, I can't wait another day for some time by the water to throw this dress on. I knew as soon as I saw the temperatures were going to be in the 90s this week, this dress had to come out of the closet. I used to think it was a little too casual for work, but with hot, hot weather and a colorful necklace, this dress got me to, from, and through work, without ever being too hot.

I have been a fan of Lilly dresses for awhile now, but this one is currently at the top of my list. The sleeves are so flattering and the material is incredibly soft and comfortable. While this exact dress is no longer available, they have many similar ones on their website. I may have to snag another before I convince myself to go on a spending freeze.

A'hoy

Hi lovelies! I am so thrilled to be guest blogging here on Style for the Seasons. My name is Christine and I write for Couture Baywhere I help you find on trend looks for a fraction of the price on Etsy

Warm weather is finally creeping back into our lives and there's nothing I love to throw on more than the nautical stripe. They have become a staple in my wardrobe for years and go with everything from basic jeans to skirts with heels. I've discovered some pieces that would cause even Picasso to have anchor envy. You'll feel like you're about to set sail in any of these nautical inspired pieces.

Nautical cardigan from Re-Run Vintage.

Vintage 1980s Nina nautical red stripe shoes from List it Cafe.

Nautical navy and white striped sweater from The Loved One.

Thanks for letting me post, Sara! I hope you'll come visit me sometime soon over at Couture Bay to see other great finds I come up with!

Nautical Stripes

Top: Zara Similar Style  Skirt: H&M Similar Style  Shoes: Michelle D Similar Style  Watch: Michael Kors  Bracelets: Stella and Dot

I cannot get enough of nautical apparel in the summer. Blue and white look so crisp and perfect together on a hot summer day. Lately I have been pairing all of my blue outfits with gold shoes but I went back to an old favorite today: red shoes. I think that they create such a patriotic feel that looks great with the nautical theme of the blue and white stripes. All I need now is an anchor bracelet. Here is one I love.
