Although we are way past Labor Day, there is a part of me that is not ready to give up white jeans. I think a lot of that has to do with the weather we had last week but there is something so sleek and clean about white jeans. I don't know about you, but I love them. I decided I needed a simple black and white outfit for working in the coffee shop last week and this little number is what I came up with. Sometimes I just feel so fancy when I wear outfits without any color, even if it's just jeans and a t-shirt.

Wrap Watch

A couple of weeks ago I was wandering around Target and saw their display of La Mer Collections watches. I carried a coral one around the store for about 30 minutes until I decided that I would probably wear a more basic color more often than coral. I came home and immediately started googling them and looking the La Mer website up and down. I went back and forth on colors until finally settling on black. The black and gold combo is a great addition to all of my black and gold mixed jewelry and I knew this watch would be getting a lot of wear. 

My first watch arrived in the mail last week and was sadly damaged during shipping. I had to return it and wait another week to wrap this baby around my wrist. I was so excited to finally debut this watch that I chose to pair it with a top that I knew would highlight the black wrap on my wrist.

Neon Shorts

As I've mentioned before, anything neon quickly becomes one of my favorites and the same can be said  for these shorts. I bought these shorts last summer and never even took the tags off of them until the beginning of the warm weather this year. I am not sure why I held off on wearing them as they are now my go-to pair in my closet. I think that neon is so flattering in the summer and can make you look so tan, sometimes moreso than white.

I pulled this fun outfit together for an afternoon of pampering and then off to a barbeque joint later in the evening. My toes are now freshly painted and I have one last day to enjoy my weekend before I head back to work tomorrow.

Today's Friday's Fancies theme: #projectpolkadot. I chose to go back through some posts over the last few months and collect some of my favorite polka dot looks. I clearly own way too many things with polka dots. Polka dots are, by far, my favorite pattern. As you can see, I even have a polka dotted running jacket.

Black and White

One of my favorite trends right now is black and white. I love basic colors (as you probably noticed here and here) and think that a simple black and white combo can easily be dressy or casual. I wore this simple outfit for a day full of meetings and love the way my Lilly bangle stands out against the simple black and white dots.

Polka dots are, by far, my favorite pattern to wear (as seen here and here and here). When I found this top a few weeks ago, I knew I had to have it. I was lucky enough to grab the last extra small and couldn't be more excited to wear it with bright colors. We had a day of perfect weather last week and it was the ideal day to debut my dots and throw on a pair of bright jeans. I love the way blue and yellow look when paired together.

Yesterday I went to my first social media conference for work. I left the conference feeling inspired and  capable. I am quite excited to share what I learned and put some new ideas to use. I love how my field is always changing and love learning tips and tricks of the trade.
